Carolina Perez

Carolina Perez is a NOAA CESSRST EPP/MSI Graduate Research Fellow focusing on Ocean and Coastal Monitoring while pursuing a Master’s degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at The City College of New York. Since March 2021, Carolina has served as a Program Coordinator for the CUNY HIRES, selecting applicants for the High School Initiative in Remote Sensing and acting as a communication hub for participating students. In addition, Carolina has held the position of Administrative Associate at the CUNY CREST Institute, managing front desk operations and creating bi-monthly bulletins for faculty and stakeholders. As the Chief Executive Officer of STEMHive since February 2019, Carolina oversees curriculum and program management while conducting weekly workshops for students in Queens, New York. Carolina obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from The City College of New York in 2020 and graduated from Saunders Trades & Technical High School with a focus on Biochemistry in 2016.
