Melissa Chambers

Melissa Chambers, SHRM-CP, PHR, has extensive experience in human resources management. Their most recent role was with Noble, a prime government contractor, where they served as the Director of HR Health, Safety & Compliance. In this position, Melissa was responsible for handling health, safety, and compliance issues for approximately 460 employees worldwide. Melissa successfully led the initiative to create and offer a group health insurance plan for expatriates and foreign nationals.

Prior to their role at Noble, Melissa worked as the Human Resources Director at Sunnyside Retirement Community, where they executed a 12-month interactive management training program and oversaw the staffing of a new unit. Melissa also played a key role in developing a contemporary safety program and assisting in the implementation of a new HRIS system.

Melissa also has experience as the Human Resources Manager at TSSi | Tactical & Survival Specialties, Inc., where they led the integration of the site's HR functions following an acquisition. Melissa was instrumental in ensuring FMLA compliance by drafting policies, updating the employee handbook, and creating FMLA packets. Melissa also negotiated lower health insurance rates and improved benefits for the company.

In addition, Melissa has held positions at Lowe's Companies, Inc. as the Manager of Human Resources, where they managed disability programs, health benefits, leave management, and employee communications. Melissa also has experience as a Human Resources Administrator at Speed Mining LLC and Wildcat Energy, LLC, where they played vital roles in case management and employee enrollments.

Melissa's earlier career includes roles as a CSR Supervisor at Maxum Petroleum, Inc., a Training and Safety Manager at Innovative Refrigeration Services, Inc., and an Administrative Assistant at Merck Sharp & Dohme. Melissa Chambers, SHRM-CP, PHR completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Leadership from Sullivan University in the years 2009-2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Virginia in 2006.
