Elizabeth Roper has been working in the life science and health technology industry for over two decades. Elizabeth began their career in 1996 as a PhD student at Cancer Research UK. In 2001, they were an Analyst at Atlas Venture and then moved to The Wellcome Trust in 2002 as a Senior Associate, Investments. During this time, they led Wellcome's investments in Nabriva Therapeutics and Fovea Pharmaceuticals. In 2006, they became Director of Business Development at Chroma Therapeutics and then in 2013 they became Partner at Epidarex Capital (formerly Rock Spring Ventures). In 2016, they were appointed Director at NodThera Limited.
Elizabeth Roper obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from University College Cork between 1992 and 1996. Elizabeth then went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology from Imperial Cancer Research Fund between 1996 and 2000.
