Shelby Schmitz is the Customer Success Lead at Nomad. Shelby has also worked as an Onboarding Consultant at Evolve Vacation Rental and as a Chief Experience Officer at G Adventures.

Shelby has always been dedicated to providing the best possible experience for their customers. At Evolve Vacation Rental, they were part of a task force that dealt with the unique challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Shelby used Salesforce to cancel, rebook, and issue credits to guests who were forced to cancel their plans due to the pandemic. Shelby also handled escalated cases sourced from social media and the Better Business Bureau, and worked to create solutions that had the best possible outcome for all involved parties.

At G Adventures, Shelby continued to lead cross country road trips, including all skills associated with AmeriCan Adventures. Shelby also obtained a Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement, and led National Geographic Journeys trips according to both G Adventures values and National Geographic's brand promise. In addition to their on-the-road responsibilities, Shelby participated in leadership camp with eleven other participants chosen from all G Adventures guides globally. During this camp, they focused on intensive personal leadership development alongside a team of executive mentors. For their dedication to delivering on G Adventure's brand promise of changing people’s lives even given challenging situations, Shelby was awarded the Unsung Hero Badge.

Shelby is currently using their vast experience to help Nomad's customers have the best possible experience.

Shelby Schmitz has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. Shelby is certified in Wilderness First Responder from NOLS Wilderness Medicine and in Commercial Driver (Truck And Bus Operator) from the Texas Department of Transportation. Shelby also has an English as a Second Language Endorsement from the Texas Education Agency and a Teaching License K-6 from the Texas Education Agency.
