Yann Régis-Gianas

Yann Régis-Gianas is the Head of Engineering at Nomadic Labs since September 2020, responsible for directing Tezos Core R&D and overseeing a team of 40 engineers, including over 30 with PhDs. Key contributions include leading the Tezos Core Development team focused on "Rollups," achieving significant performance milestones, and developing a scaling solution based on optimistic rollups. Prior to this role, Yann Régis-Gianas served as an Associate Professor at Université Paris Diderot, specializing in the development and formal verification of programming languages from 2008 to 2020, and held various research positions, including postdoctoral work at INRIA. Yann Régis-Gianas earned a PhD in Computer Science from Université Paris Cité and has a robust educational background in engineering and computer science.
