Alina Ali

Alina Ali has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Alina began their career as a Software Engineer at National Computer Systems in 1997, where they developed and tested software applications. Alina was promoted to Senior Software Engineer in 1999 and led a team of application developers.

In 1999, Alina joined IKEA Singapore | Malaysia | Thailand as a Software Project Manager. Alina was responsible for developing IT and software systems across the APAC region and coordinating global IT systems roll-outs for suppliers.

From 2002 to 2007, Alina worked at Singapore Airlines as an Information Technology Specialist, where they utilized their IT expertise.

In 2007, they joined American Express as an Implementation Manager, overseeing the implementation of various projects. Alina later transitioned into the role of Account Development Manager and Regional Relationship Manager, where they managed a portfolio of regional and local clients and provided strategic planning and value solutions.

Alina then joined Citi in 2017 as Vice President of Commercial Sales, leading an account management and sales team. Alina was later appointed as the Head of Commercial Cards in the Global Consumer Banking division, where they focused on growth targets and KPI achievement.

In 2021, Alina moved to Shopee as the Manager of Payment Operations, managing payment-related operations. Alina then joined NomuPay in 2023 as the Regional Head of Operations for the APAC region.

Throughout their career, Alina has demonstrated strong leadership skills, teamwork, and a focus on achieving goals and targets.

Alina Ali obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Management Information Systems and Services and Organizational Management from Marquette University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. In November 2020, they also received a certification from Citi Client Obsession Academy, being accredited by IDC and inducted into the academy.
