Vanessa Briseño

Vanessa Briseño is a seasoned communications and fund development professional with over two decades of diverse experience across the philanthropic, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. Currently serving as a Communications Officer at The Lemelson Foundation since September 2022, Vanessa collaborates with leadership to implement strategies that promote innovation. In addition, Vanessa holds a position on the Board of Directors for the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, where expertise in funding strategies and strategic communications is leveraged. Previous roles include Senior Director of Strategic Communications at the Portland Business Alliance and Chief Development and Communications Officer at Catholic Charities of Oregon, where Vanessa led comprehensive development and communication efforts. Additional roles have encompassed consulting and development management for various organizations, including The Los Angeles Trust for Children's Health and The Annenberg Foundation, contributing to extensive knowledge in grant and partnership development.
