Benjamin Reist currently serves as a Principal Statistician at NORC at the University of Chicago, a position held since August 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Research Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland from December 2017 to April 2022 and various positions at NASA from December 2019 to August 2021, including Acting Associate Information Officer for Transformation and Data. Additional experience encompasses serving as Deputy Director for Science & Planning at USDA's NASS and multiple roles at the U.S. Census Bureau, culminating in Assistant Center Chief for Research. Benjamin Reist holds a PhD in Survey Methodology from the University of Maryland, an MS in Statistics from The George Washington University, and an MS in Mathematics along with a BA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Vermont.
