Lucas Hull has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Lucas started their career as a broadcast designer at The E.W. Scripps Company, where they produced graphics and animations while implementing new technology and processes. Lucas then transitioned to the role of an internet sales manager, managing sales and ROI tracking for internet ad campaigns and introducing online affiliate advertising opportunities.
After that, Lucas worked as a creative director at Msgworks, where they crafted unique content for a proprietary video player and partnered with executives and engineers to improve software function and reliability. Following this, they joined Deluxe Entertainment Services as a finaling artist, converting movies into 3D versions using software like After Effects and Nuke.
Lucas also had a period of self-employment as a digital compositor, where they composited VFX for music videos, TV shows, and movies under tight deadlines while adjusting their workflow to suit diverse budgets and deadlines.
In 2016, Lucas joined Apple as a Genius, providing technical support and facilitating Genius training. Lucas also piloted new equipment and processes and provided critical feedback for launch improvements. Additionally, they worked as a Mac hardware validation engineering, where they operated Mac hardware prototype labs, automated repetitive processes, and managed inventory and configurations for multiple labs.
Most recently, Lucas worked at NorCal Cannabis Company as an IT support specialist and IT project manager. As an IT support specialist, they resolved wide-ranging IT issues, evaluated and recommended new software platforms, and assisted with IT-related onboarding and offboarding. In their role as an IT project manager, they leveraged data analysis to inform executive decision-making, led database migration and schema design projects, and implemented an MDM solution to manage diverse device systems.
Lucas Hull's education history begins in 1996, when they obtained their high school diploma from Westminster High School. From 1998 to 2000, they attended Carroll County Career and Technology Center and obtained a vocational certificate in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia. In 2002, Lucas enrolled at The Art Institutes and completed an Associate's degree in Specialized Technology, which lasted until 2004. It wasn't until 2010 that they returned to The Art Institutes to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics, which they completed in 2011. Additionally, Lucas obtained certifications in Project Management Essentials from the Management and Strategy Institute in 2020 and became an Apple Certified iOS Technician and Apple Certified Mac Technician from Pearson VUE in 2014 and 2016, respectively.
