Hamid Afzali

Hamid Afzali has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Hamid is currently the Corporate Medical Director at Nordic Pharma, a role they have held since April 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Grünenthal Group for five years, starting as the Medical Director Benelux from February 2016 to March 2018. Hamid then served as the Medical Director Cluster Europe & UK (ad interim) from July 2020 to March 2021, and subsequently became the Medical Director Cluster Europe from April 2018 to April 2021.

Before joining Grünenthal Group, Hamid worked as a Medical Doctor at Premeo Thuisvaccinatie from May 2010 to February 2016. Hamid also gained experience at Amgen, where they served as the Medical Advisor Haematology a.i. from October 2015 to January 2016, and at Grünenthal B.V. as the Medical Affairs manager a.i. from February 2015 to January 2016.

Additionally, Hamid worked at Pfizer as the Medical Advisor Vaccines from July 2013 to January 2015, and as the Medical Advisor Dermatology from April 2012 to July 2013. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Medical Doctor at Isala klinieken from April 2010 to December 2011.

Hamid's career began at the Academic Medical Center, Core Echo Lab, where they served as a Research Assistant from 2005 to 2010, and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2007 to 2009.
