Jari Heikkinen

Jari Heikkinen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of telecommunications and semiconductor development. Jari started their career as a Research Assistant and Research Engineer at Tampere University of Technology, where they focused on customizable processor architecture, program compression, and digital signal processing systems.

Jari then moved on to Nokia, where they held various roles including Senior Design Engineer, Specialist, and Chief Engineer. During their time at Nokia, they contributed to the development of modem processor subsystems, interconnect network components, and application-specific instruction-set processors used in telecommunications processor subsystems. Jari also played a role in planning future telecommunication system-on-chip (SoC) designs.

After Nokia, Heikkinen joined Renesas Mobile Corporation as a Senior Specialist, before returning to Nokia as a Senior Specialist and SoC Program Manager. In these roles, they managed large-scale development programs for Nokia's 5G products, coordinating activities of design, verification, implementation, prototyping, and software teams.

Most recently, Heikkinen joined Nordic Semiconductor as a Senior Research and Development Engineer and is currently serving as the Principal Project Manager.

Jari Heikkinen obtained a Master of Science degree in Electronics from Tampere University of Technology during the period of 1997 to 2001. Jari then pursued a Doctor of Technology degree in Digital and Computer Systems from the same university from 2001 to 2007.
