Inda B. Walker

Clerk, University President & Liaison to the Board of Visitors at Norfolk State University

Ms. Inda Walker is a trusted professional bringing over 30 years of experience working in higher education, Corporate America, and executive board support. She brings a vast level of professional experience to the University and Board of Visitors as well will work to improve the internal processes and digitization of NSU BOV records. Ms. Walker served at Tidewater Community College for 12 years in multiple roles. Most recently, Inda served in several administrative capacities in the Department of Public Safety reviewing and interpreting policies, managing the budget, coordinating the student/faculty/staff ID card system, maintaining the daily crime log, and adhering to Clery Compliance and FERPA Laws. She worked with the Dean of Student Services providing executive-level support. She has also served as an Adjunct faculty member teaching Student Development and Administrative Support Technology in the School of Business for multiple years. Ms. Walker was also employed at Old Dominion University in the Fiscal Department at Perry Library and at Norfolk State University in the early 2000s as a Financial and Auditing Practitioner. In the past, Inda provided Executive Board support in the corporate sector at Norfolk Southern Corporation, supporting the Executive Vice President Planning, and Titan America supporting the Chief Executive officer. Ms. Walker holds a BA in Business Management from VA Wesleyan University and a MA in Management and Leadership from Liberty University.
