Eirik Omre

Eirik Omre has a solid work experience in various roles and industries. Eirik started their career as an Analyst at Norges Bank Investment Management in January 2016, where they primarily focused on the quantitative aspects of research and investment work, including building databases, conducting market analysis, constructing models, and developing back-testing tools. From January 2020 to January 2021, they served as a Senior Analyst in the same company. Following that, Eirik worked as a Portfolio Manager for External Strategies from January 2021 to June 2021, and as an Advisor in the CEO Office from June 2021 to November 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Portfolio Manager - Equity Strategies since November 2021 at Norges Bank Investment Management.

Prior to their role at Norges Bank, Eirik had a summer internship at Schlumberger in 2014, where they worked on developing new functionalities for Petrel, a software platform used in the oil industry. Additionally, they served as a Teacher Assistant at Aarhus University from October 2012 to June 2013, where they taught mathematics and computer science courses, conducted presentations, and provided individual tutoring and instruction.

Eirik Omre has a strong educational background in the field of mathematics and statistics. In 2009, they attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for a year course focused on mathematics and statistics. Following this, from 2010 to 2013, Eirik pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics with a specialization in Mathematical Modelling at Aarhus University. Eirik continued their education at the University of Washington from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Statistics, specializing in Advanced Methods and Data Analysis.
