Gero Elerd has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Gero began their career as an Intern in the Public Relations section of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2003. In 2004, they completed an Internship in Public Communications Domestic at the Auswärtiges Amt (Federal Foreign Office) in Germany.
From 2007 to 2010, Gero worked as an Analyst in the Special Resolution Unit at the Bank of England. In 2010, they joined Norges Bank Investment Management as an Analyst in Strategic Relations and later transitioned to the role of Analyst in Governance/CEO Office from 2012 to 2013.
Subsequently, Gero held positions within Norges Bank Investment Management including Analyst in Fund Overlay (Allocation Strategies) from 2014 to 2014, Analyst in Investment Advice from 2015 to 2016, and Senior Analyst in Investment Advice from 2016 to 2020. From 2020 onwards, they served as a Business Manager in Asset Strategies before assuming their current position as Senior Business Manager in the same department starting in June 2022.
Gero Elerd completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in International History and Politics from Jacobs University Bremen, from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they pursued a Master of Public Administration degree in Public Policy and Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), from 2005 to 2007. In addition, Gero obtained a certification in APM Project Management from APM in March 2016.
