Mark Thompson, CFA has extensive work experience in various roles in the financial industry. Mark began their career as an Intern in Insurance Broking at Jardine Lloyd Thompson in 2004. Mark then worked as a Brand Ambassador for O'Neill, where they organized events to promote the brand. In 2005, they joined Morgan Stanley as an Equity Research Analyst, specializing in European airlines. During their time there, they were a member of the top-ranked Transport equity research team. In 2009, Mark became a Director at Vida Loca Travel Ltd. Mark then transitioned to a role at Citi as an Equity Research Product Manager in 2010, where they managed collaboration between different departments and oversaw marketing efforts. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Research Manager at Third Bridge Group Limited. Following that, Mark joined Barclays Investment Bank as an Equity Research Product Manager in 2015. Finally, they have been with Norges Bank Investment Management since 2016, focusing on primary research.

Mark Thompson, CFA, began their education in 1999 at Repton School, where they studied for three years. Mark then attended the University of York from 2002 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance. Following their undergraduate studies, Mark pursued further education in finance and achieved the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from 2006 to 2008.
