Pieter C.r. Smit

Pieter C.R. Smit is an experienced logistics and supply chain professional with a comprehensive background in customs management and continuous improvement. Currently serving as Customs Manager at Norgine since May 2016, Pieter is responsible for customs and trade compliance, Brexit readiness preparation, and business support in customs operations. Pieter previously held roles at Omron Electronics Europe, where responsibilities included Customer Logistics Manager EMEA and Manager of Regional Procurement & Planning. With earlier experience at Merck Sharp & Dohme as Regional Supply Chain Manager and Philips Lighting in various logistics roles, Pieter has developed significant expertise in managing supply chains, enhancing customer service, and improving business processes. Pieter holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Customs and Trade Affairs from EVO-Fenedex.
