Jan Erik Vold

Jan Erik Vold has had a diverse work experience in the energy and power sectors. Jan Erik has worked in various roles at different companies, starting with Norsk Hydro in 2003 as an Electrical Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and running large power systems. Jan Erik also worked as an Electrical Engineer and Site Manager at Hydro Aluminium.

In 2007, Vold joined NorSun as the Technical and Maintenance Manager at their Årdalstangen plant. During this time, they implemented a CMMS and structured the maintenance organization. Jan Erik later became the HSE & Technical Manager, focusing on HSE responsibilities and restructuring the HSE quality system.

Vold also worked at Lærdal Energi as the Grid Manager, where they had technical and economical responsibilities for the distribution grid, as well as personnel and project management responsibilities.

In 2013, Vold returned to NorSun as the HSE & Project Manager. In this role, they were responsible for HSE at the Årdalstangen plant, project management for large projects, and providing technical support to the entire organization.

Since 2014, Vold has been with Norsk Hydro once again, this time as the Head of Power Operations Sogn.

Jan Erik Vold obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from NKI from 1999 to 2003. In 2014, they completed a degree in International Risk Management from QMCe. Jan Erik also holds a certification as a World Class Maintenance Expert from Norsk Forening for Vedlikehold (NFV), although the exact date of certification is not provided. Additionally, Jan Erik Vold has a European Expert in Maintenance Management degree from NFV/NTNU, although the timeframe for this degree is not given.
