Peter vander Velde

Peter Vander Velde has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Peter has held various roles in legal and business development positions. Peter'smost recent position was as the Vice President and Head of Legal for Precision Tubing at Norsk Hydro since October 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Sapa as a Senior Lawyer in the Global Legal Department from September 2013 to October 2017, and as the General Counsel from January 2012 to September 2013. Peter also served as the General Counsel - Asia Pacific for Orkla Asia Pacific Pte Ltd from July 2010 to February 2012.

Before joining Sapa and Orkla, Peter worked as the General Counsel - North America for Sapa Extrusions, Inc. and Elkem Metals, Inc. from September 2007 to August 2011. In addition, they have experience as an Associate Attorney at Duane Morris LLP from August 2005 to September 2007, and at Eckert Seamans from February 2002 to August 2005.

Furthermore, Peter has a background in business development, having worked as a Business Development Manager at Intel from May 2000 to July 2001. Peter started their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Hoogendoorn and Talbot LLP from May 1994 to July 1998.

Peter Vander Velde earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science - International Relations from Calvin University in 1992. From 1992 to 1995, they attended Valparaiso University School of Law, earning their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. Later, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business, specializing in Strategy/Operations.
