Jim Schmidt

Jim Schmidt has a strong background in software engineering and leadership roles. Jim is currently the VP of Software Engineering, Attribution at North American Bancard since September 2022. Prior to this, Jim held the position of Sr Director at the same company starting in January 2020. Before joining North American Bancard, they worked as the Sr Director at Verifone from April 2018 to December 2019. From September 2014 to April 2018, Jim served as a Distinguished Engineer at HARMAN International. Jim also worked at Garmin as a Tech Lead from September 2012 to September 2014. Jim began their career at Microsoft, where they held the roles of Principal Software Development Engineer from March 2008 to September 2012 and Software Development Engineer from February 2005 to September 2012. Prior to their time at Microsoft, Jim was the owner of Autech Software Engineering, a successful small business primarily serving as a vendor for Microsoft. Jim closed the business in February 2005 when Autech employees were offered positions at Microsoft. Jim's early career includes a role as a Development Manager at Wise Solutions from September 2002 to December 2003 and a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft from May 1995 to August 2002.

Jim Schmidt received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, where they studied from 1988 to 1995.
