Shelina Cocker

Shelina Cocker has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Shelina has served as the Director of Payment Intelligence (Risk & Fraud) at North American Bancard since 2024. Before that, they worked at LinkedIn as a Senior Trust and Safety Manager, specifically focused on Abuse and Content Enforcement from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Manager, Law Enforcement Response EMEA at Meta from 2018 to 2021. Shelina also worked as a Strategic Advisor at the Canadian Cyber Incident Response Centre and as a Cyber Security Consultant at Bell in 2018 and 2017 respectively. Shelina's earlier experiences include roles such as Cyber Security Manager and Senior Cyber Security Advisor at the Communications Security Establishment, as well as a Business Analyst at the Law Society of Alberta. Shelina began their career in 2002 as a Call Center Representative at ATB Financial. Overall, Shelina has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the fields of cyber security, risk management, law enforcement response, and organizational development.

Shelina Cocker holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Math, Biology, and Psychology from The University of Lethbridge, obtained from 1997 to 2004. Shelina also has a Bachelor of Management Information Systems degree in Management Information Systems from the same university, earned during the period of 1995 to 2004. Currently, Shelina is pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in General Studies at the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada, which they are expected to complete between 2015 and 2024. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, as well as Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in 2021.
