Valerie Thoms

Valerie Thoms is the CEO and Founder of ThomsCan Music, where responsibilities include writing and producing, a role held since November 2019. Concurrently, Valerie serves as a Chemistry Technician II at the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, a position held since May 2014. Past experience includes work as a vocalist and writer for The Barnes Project from August 2010 to December 2019 and as a Senior Laboratory Analyst for the City of Rocky Mount from July 2007 to May 2014, focusing on state-regulated testing of water and wastewater samples. Valerie holds a BPS in Interdisciplinary Music Studies from Berklee College of Music (2021-2023), an Associate's degree in General Studies from Fort Hays State University (2009-2012), a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Studies from Fort Hays State University (2013-2017), and a Bachelor of Science in Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University (2017-2021).
