Brittany B. Walton

Brittany B. Walton is an experienced attorney serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Workers' Compensation Section of the North Carolina Department of Justice since May 2014, where responsibilities include managing litigation files, preparing pleadings, and conducting discovery. Previous positions include serving as a Research Associate at Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Fair Housing Project from February 2013 to July 2014, and interning at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of North Carolina under the Honorable Judge Sanford Steelman and former Chief Justice Mark Martin in early 2012. Earlier experience includes an internship at Disability Rights North Carolina, involving research for class action suits and drafting policy reform memorandums. Brittany B. Walton earned a Juris Doctorate (Cum Laude) from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
