North County Transit District is the primary public transportation system in North San Diego County. Every year, millions of passengers ride our COASTER commuter trains, SPRINTER hybrid rail trains, BREEZE buses, FLEX and LIFT paratransit. 

Our team is committed to providing safe, convenient, reliable and user-friendly transportation services to people in the region. 

We have more than 63 miles of rail lines serving 23 stations, and 30 BREEZE bus routes with more than 1,600 stops. In recent years, we added new COASTER locomotives that have a 90% emission reduction compared to other locomotives and 64% more horsepower. Since FY19, we have also added 70 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to the BREEZE fleet. NCTD cares about providing mobility to every individual in our growing region while helping to protect our environment.
