Doug Johnson

Doug Johnson is a Principal Transportation Planner at Jacobs, overseeing transportation planning initiatives since July 2023. Johnson has a rich background in both public sector and community engagement roles, currently serving as a Community Volunteer at North Hawaii Community Hospital and a Patient Volunteer at North Hawaii Hospice Inc. Additionally, Johnson contributes to Greenbelt Alliance as a Board Member and Finance Chair. Previous experience includes managing transportation planning at the San Francisco Planning Department, leading efforts for ConnectSF and Caltrain station projects, and serving as Principal at the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, where significant contributions to transit-oriented development were made. Johnson's academic credentials include a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning and a Master of Science in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, along with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from UC Santa Barbara.
