Phil Alexander is the chief information security officer for North Mississippi Health Services.
Alexander, who joined NMHS in 2018, previously worked at UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas, where he served as Director of Information Security and Information Security Officer. Previously, Alexander worked as cyber intrusion incident handler for Northrop Grumman in Augusta, Ga.; Information Security Officer (ISO) for General Dynamics; and Information Security Officer for the U.S. Army.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He is highly trained and credentialed, and received the 2016 Rural Health IT Leadership Award from the TORCH Foundation. He served as president of the West Texas Information Services Security Association.
