Lead Process Engineer And TRP (technical Reference Person) at North Oil Company Qatar

Babak Tahmasebi has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Babak started their career as a Process/Facility Engineer at BP Canada in 2001. Babak then worked as a Process Engineer at Hanover Maloney Inc. in 2003 and as a Senior Process Engineer at Colt Engineering Corporation from 2004 to 2005.

From 2005 to 2008, Babak was the Lead Process Engineer for Surmont Phase 2 at ConocoPhillips Canada. Babak then moved to ConocoPhillips Qatar, where they were a Commissioning and Start-up Process Engineer in the Qatargas 3&4 LNG Project from 2008 to 2011.

Babak continued their career in ConocoPhillips Indonesia as a Senior Development Engineer from 2011 to 2012. Babak then returned to ConocoPhillips Canada as the Lead Process Engineer for Surmont Phase 3 from 2012 to 2013.

In 2013, Babak joined Maersk Oil Doha, Qatar as a Senior Process Engineer and Technical Authority. Babak worked there until 2016, when they moved on to Qatar Petroleum as a Senior Process/Project Engineer.

Since 2017, Babak has been working with North Oil Company Qatar as a Senior Process Engineer. Babak was later promoted to the role of Lead Process Engineer and TRP (Technical Reference Person), where they lead a team of 12 process engineers and oversees various engineering and construction projects.

Babak Tahmasebi obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Petroleum University of Technology between 1986 and 1990. Babak further pursued their education and completed their Master's degree in Chemical Engineering at Sahand University of Technology from 1994 to 1996.
