Christian Longis

Operations Geology & Petrophysics Manager at North Oil Company Qatar

Christian Longis has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Christian is currently working at North Oil Company Qatar as the Operations Geology & Petrophysics Manager since August 2019.

Prior to this, Longis worked at TotalEnergies and held various roles. From January 2014 to August 2019, they served as the Exploration Drilling & Performance Coordination Global for the company. Before that, they were the Chief Geologist Nigeria from September 2011 to January 2014, where they played a key role in the geological modeling and appraisal strategy for the license.

Longis also worked as the Head of Geology Russia from September 2009 to September 2011, overseeing the geological team and collaborating with Russian authorities and institutes to revise producible stakes. Christian served as the Head of Geology Indonesia from September 2006 to August 2009, leading the development of 200 wells and proposing a data acquisition program.

Before their role in Indonesia, Longis worked as a Reservoir Geologist in Angola from November 2004 to August 2006, performing subsurface geological synthesis and reservoir modeling for the Gengibre discovery. Prior to that, they were the Head of Subsurface Geology UK from April 2002 to October 2004, managing geological operations activities and introducing new technologies for well planning and collaboration across disciplines.

Christian Longis attended Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs from 1994 to 1996, where they earned a degree in Engineering with a field of study in Petroleum Exploration.
