Mehdi van Haver has a diverse range of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Mehdi is currently working as a Senior Hook-Up Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Foxtrot International from June 2018 until February 2023.
Before joining Foxtrot International, Mehdi held the position of Project Coordinator at Total Gabon within Total. This role involved managing various projects, including painting campaigns, revamping projects, and living quarter dismantling. Mehdi's responsibilities included project management, budget and planning follow-up, tender and contract preparation, and ensuring technical compliance with Total E&P standards. Mehdi also coordinated with other entities and managed a team of 30 to 50 individuals. Mehdi worked at Total from January 2016 to May 2018.
Prior to their role at Total, Mehdi worked at Groupe Ponticelli Frères. Mehdi served as a Project Manager for Ponticelli Angoil, where they oversaw piping and structural works for the FPSO Mondo project in offshore Angola. Mehdi was responsible for project management, QA/QC, and HSSE. Mehdi also held the position of Deputy Project Manager at Ponticelli Angoil, where they worked on the Block 03/05 field revamping campaign for Sonangol P&P. Mehdi worked at Groupe Ponticelli Frères from May 2012 to July 2015.
Mehdi's earlier experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Delattre&Bezons Nigeria Ltd on Akpo & Usan Field Development Projects. Their responsibilities included overseeing the fabrication of deepwater production jumpers and spreader bars, ensuring HSE compliance, coordinating with suppliers and clients, and managing project logistics. Mehdi worked at Delattre Bezons Nigeria Ltd from July 2011 to February 2012.
Mehdi van Haver completed their French baccalaureate with honors, specialized in the Sciences and mathematics, at College Bernard Palissy Agen, France. Following that, they attended Icam - Institut Catholique d'Arts et Métiers from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Master's degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (Msc) with a specialization in fluid mechanics.
