Peter L.

Peter L. has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Peter started their career in 1996 as a Well Site Engineer at Maersk Olie og Gas AS (Denmark) and worked in a similar role at Maersk Oil Qatar as well. Peter later became a Well Engineer at Maersk Olie og Gas AS, where they were responsible for tendering and planning drilling operations.

In 2001, Peter joined Maersk Oil Qatar as a Snr. Well Technologist, where they focused on wellheads, tubulars, completion design, and conducted simulations for drilling processes. Peter also worked as an offshore stimulation supervisor.

Peter continued to progress in their career and became a Lead Drilling Engineer at Maersk Olie og Gas AS (Denmark), where they led key technology themes and managed high uncertainty projects. Peter later took on roles as the Director and Head of various departments, including Well Technology and Drilling and Well Engineering.

In 2018, Peter joined Total as the Director of Technical Authority on Well Integrity in Denmark. Peter led a change project to improve well integrity management, implemented a new well integrity management system, and implemented a novel risk analysis concept.

More recently, Peter has worked at North Oil Company Qatar as the Head of Drilling & Wells Engineering and Head of Task Force Rig 4. Peter continues to contribute their expertise and experience in this role.

Peter L. has a strong educational background in engineering. Peter obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark in the period of 1989 to 1993. Peter then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark from 1994 to 1996. Later on, in 2008 to 2009, Peter L. enrolled in the same institution, the Technical University of Denmark, to acquire a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree. During this period, they also earned a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Leadership.
