Valerie Shay

Valerie Shay is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Instructional Coach of Education Technology at Monrovia Unified School District since October 2022. Valerie has held multiple roles within North-West College and Success Education Colleges as the Associate Director of Faculty Development and Education Technology since August 2019. In addition, Valerie has contributed to Mt Sierra College as an Instructor and has held leadership positions in faculty development and education. Previous experience includes serving as a Disney English Trainer, an Educational Reformer at Inquiry Bridge, LLC, and an instructor at Fayetteville Technical Community College and College of DuPage. Valerie holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Claremont Graduate University and a Ph.D. in Language, Literacy and Culture from the University of Illinois Chicago.
