Nicholas Avgerinos

Nicholas Avgerinos has a diverse work experience. Nicholas is currently serving as the President and CMO at Essex County Primary Care since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Medical Director of Primary Care Coordinated Services at Beverly Hospital since January 2019. Nicholas also has experience as a Family Medicine Physician at Lahey Health starting from September 2017. In addition, they have served as a Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine since December 2018. From May 2018 to May 2021, Nicholas worked as a City Physician at the City of Peabody. Before entering the medical field, they had multiple internships and research positions at Abbott Bioresearch Center from 2005 to 2010, where they gained expertise in various laboratory skills and research techniques. Nicholas also completed their residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health from 2014 to 2017.

Nicholas Avgerinos obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Connecticut in 2010. Nicholas then attended UMass Chan Medical School from 2010 to 2014, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Following this, from 2014 to 2017, they completed the Family Medicine Residency Program at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
