Pam likes to say she has worked in this field her entire life because she has a brother who is 18 months younger and was disabled upon birth. She did some volunteer work throughout high school then got her first official job in the field in 2001 and has been working with people with disabilities ever since. She began working at Hammer in 2006 after moving to the Twin Cities with her husband. She has held a variety of management and leadership roles during her time at Hammer. In 2021, Pam began working at NER in her current role as Director of Residential Services.
Pam is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 24 residential homes at NER, this includes leading the Program Directors' teams as well as the teams they oversee of Program Managers, Lead DSP and DSP staff. Additionally, Pam is part of the team initiating and implementing the changes that are necessary to fully merge the two organizations.
