Leila Deravi

Leila Deravi currently serves as an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Northeastern University, where research focuses on the intersection of bio-analytical chemistry, materials science, and design, specifically investigating mechanisms in biology to inform biomaterial development. Leila is also a Co-Founder and Scientific Advisor at Seaspire Skincare. Previous positions include Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science at the University of New Hampshire and Research Associate at Harvard University, with experience in nanofiber fabrication, protein textiles, and optical protein characterization. Leila’s academic journey began as a Graduate Student at Vanderbilt University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Chemistry, following a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemistry from The University of Alabama.
