Maria Harrington

Maria Harrington has a strong background in risk management and trust operations. Maria is currently the Head of Business Controls and Risk Management at Northern Bank since October 2021, previously serving as the Head of Operational Risk Management from May 2018 to October 2021. Prior to that, they worked at State Street as a Vice President in the Business Controls Program Office from September 2016 to May 2018. Maria also held leadership positions at Cambridge Appleton Trust as the Vice President and Head of Trust Operations from November 2012 to September 2016, and at Cambridge Savings Bank as the Vice President and Risk Management Officer from June 2010 to November 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked at Fidelity Investments, Investors Bank and Trust, The Boston Company Boston Safe Deposit and Trust Company, and NCNB National Bank of Florida (now Bank of America), gaining experience in various director and senior operations officer roles.

Maria Harrington holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from Florida State University.
