Dr Laura Prendergast

Dr. Laura Prendergast is an experienced psychologist currently serving as a Clinical Panel Consultant at the Transport Accident Commission since June 2018 and as a Senior Health Psychologist at Northern Health since January 2021. Previous roles include Psychologist in the Pain Service at Austin Health and at the Chronic Pain Clinic of Goulburn Valley Health, where contributions included psychological assessments, treatment planning, and educational presentations on chronic pain. Dr. Prendergast has also worked in various research and provisional psychologist positions across organizations such as Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and Monash IVF, focusing on therapeutic interventions for complex psychological issues. Dr. Prendergast holds a Doctor of Psychology in Health Psychology from Deakin University, complemented by expertise in forensic psychology and a foundational degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Sydney.
