Paula Andrea Ospina

Paula Andrea Ospina is an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist at Northern Health in British Columbia since August 2019, providing specialized respiratory support to critically ill patients across various intensive care units and the emergency department. With a background in patient-centered care as a Health Care Aide at We Care Home Health Services, Paula established strong rapport with clients while ensuring empathetic support. Prior experience includes serving as a Summer Undergraduate Nurse Employee at Alberta Health Services, where effective communication and task management were critical. Paula co-founded the "Love in Action" student club at the University of Calgary, successfully fundraising for vulnerable women in Kenya, and conducted research as a Summer Research Assistant on antibiotic resistance in E. coli. Paula holds a diploma in Respiratory Care Therapy from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Calgary.
