Older Persons Health & Palliative Care Manager at Northern Qld PHN

Maria Callaghan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent role is as the Older Persons Health & Palliative Care Manager at the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network, which they started in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the State Area Manager - Queensland at ITEC Group Australia from July 2021 to June 2022. Maria also served as the Project Lead - Building Compassionate Communities at Central Queensland, Wide Bay, Sunshine Coast PHN from November 2020 to June 2021.

Before their employment in the healthcare sector, Maria worked at Community Lifestyles Agency Inc as a Supports Facilitator from May 2020 to November 2020, and at Carers Queensland Inc. as a Program Officer & Assessor from November 2011 to May 2020. Maria also worked as a Customer Service Manager & Advisory Board Member at a Medical Tourism & Wellness Travel Company from May 2007 to September 2008.

Maria Callaghan has a diverse education history. In 1991 to 1994, they attended Capitol University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing & Midwifery. Following this, from 1999 to 2002, they pursued a Masters Degree in Education at Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. Moving forward, in 2011 to 2015, they attended TAFE Queensland and obtained a Cert IV in Aged Care, Disability & Home Care. In 2017 to 2018, Maria enrolled in Brisbane Business & Hospitality Training where they completed a Diploma in Event Management. Most recently, from 2019 to 2020, they attended Australian Catholic University and obtained a Bachelors of Law, specializing in Australian Migration Law & Practice.
