Amy Sinatra Ayres

Amy Sinatra Ayres is an experienced editor and writer with a solid background in journalism. Currently serving as the Editor at Northern Virginia Magazine since May 2022, Amy oversees all editorial aspects of the publication, which reaches approximately 135,000 readers monthly. Prior to this, Amy was the Special Sections Editor at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, where the role involved leading the YES! publication with national distribution of 2.2 million. Additional experience includes freelance writing for Vetstreet.com and National Geographic, as well as significant editorial roles at AOL and ABCNEWS.com, where Amy honed expertise in audience engagement and content strategy. Amy holds a BA in journalism and political science from St. Michael's College.
