Suzanne Sentman has a diverse and extensive work experience. In their most recent role as the Director of Human Resources at the Northern York County School District, they began in January 2023, and their work there is ongoing. Prior to this, Suzanne worked at McKonly & Asbury, where they served as the Human Resources Director from July 2008 to December 2022. During their time at McKonly & Asbury, Suzanne collaborated with leadership to align HR strategies with company goals, developed best practices for talent management, and analyzed compensation and benefits trends.
Before that, Suzanne was the HR Director for the Direct-to-Consumer Division at Lifetime Brands from July 2005 to October 2006, where they directed and integrated HR functions for over 1000 employees across retail stores and web/catalog divisions. Suzanne played a key role in the acquisition of Pfaltzgraff and successfully communicated changes in payroll and benefits to employees. Suzanne also recommended and implemented employee benefits and policies for the Direct-to-Consumer division.
Prior to Lifetime Brands, Suzanne worked as the HR Director for the Direct-to-Consumer Division at The Pfaltzgraff Co. from January 2005 to July 2005. In this role, they managed HR functions for over 600 employees across retail stores and web/catalog divisions and provided strategic HR consulting to executives.
Earlier in their career, Suzanne was the HR Director at BlazeNet from January 2003 to December 2004, where they counseled the management team on employee issues, developed competitive compensation practices, and contributed to setting strategic goals and budgets. Before being promoted to HR Director, Suzanne served as the HR Manager at BlazeNet from May 2000 to December 2002.
Suzanne started their career as an Employee Relations Administrator at Glatfelter from May 1998 to May 2000.
Suzanne Sentman obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Suzanne completed their undergraduate studies from 1990 to 1994. Later on, they pursued further education and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Baltimore. This degree was obtained between 1995 and 1997.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Suzanne Sentman also obtained a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute in January 2005.
