Fei Yan has a strong background in finance and valuation. Their most recent position is Vice President, Portfolio Valuations at Northleaf Capital Partners, which began in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked at PwC as a Director from August 2015 until September 2022, and as a Manager from January 2014 to July 2015. Fei Yan also gained experience at Scotiabank as a Manager from July 2012 to January 2014, and at RBC as a Senior Analyst from August 2010 to June 2012. They began their career at BMO Financial Group as an Investment Specialist from November 2007 to August 2009.

Fei Yan completed an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics degree with a focus on Business Administration and Mathematics: Finance Option at the University of Waterloo. Following that, Fei Yan pursued a Master of Science degree in Financial Mathematics at the University of Chicago. In terms of additional certifications, Fei Yan obtained the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation from the Chartered Business Valuators Institute (CBV Institute) in June 2019. Fei Yan is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM), with the respective certifications obtained from the CFA Institute and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
