John Franey

John Franey has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. John currently serves as a Technical Lead at NorthOne since 2022, where they are responsible for leading technical initiatives. Prior to that, they worked at Nautel as a Senior Software Consultant from 2020 to 2021, where they refactored and developed a critical internal Django-based database. John also served as an Engineering Manager (Acting) at NepFin from 2019 to 2020, where they managed the screening and interviewing process, led meetings with engineers, and improved the agile development process. Additionally, they were a Senior Web Application Developer at Colibri Software from 2016 to 2019, where they rebuilt a mapping application using Django and Wagtail. Earlier in their career, they held various web development roles at Verify Diagnostics, Ontario Waterpower Association, and Trent Graduate Students' Association. John Franey has a strong background in web development, backend development, software consulting, and project management.

John Franey attended Acadia University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science.
