Florencia Herra Vega has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Florencia started their career as an Independent Consultant at Dropdot Development, where they focused on full-stack development using Ruby on Rails and Node. Florencia also worked as a Co-Founder & CTO at Peerio Technologies, leading the development and operations of an end-to-end encrypted platform. As a Member and President of the Board of Directors at À deux mains / Head & Hands, they contributed to strategic planning, policy-writing, and led fundraising campaigns. At WorkJam, they held multiple roles, including Director of Architecture & Platform, Software Development Manager, and Solution Architect. Florencia was responsible for defining architecture guidelines, managing development teams, and integrating technology stacks. Florencia also contributed to the tech community as VP and Co-VP Conference at NorthSec, organizing a major applied security event in Canada. Currently, Florencia is a Partner & CTO at AlleyCorp and serves as the Chief Executive Officer at AlleyCorp Nord. Florencia is also involved as an Advisor at Reside Health and Diana Health, providing expertise and guidance. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Acting CTO at Mixo. Florencia Herra Vega obtained a B.A. degree in Linguistics and Computer Science from McGill University. Florencia attended from 2003 to 2008.
