Gabriel Gunning

Gabriel Gunning is a registered nurse at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center, contributing to the emergency department as part of the new graduate nurse residency program since September 2024. In addition to nursing, Gabriel has held various roles in emergency medical services and education, including managing partner at Rescue Medicine Training Group and paramedic positions with MaineHealth and NorthStar EMS since August 2007. As a principal at Freshwater Consulting and an instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates International, Gabriel focuses on wilderness and rescue medicine. Previously an operational paramedic specialist for NH-1 DMAT, Gabriel participated in disaster medical assistance. Additional experience includes guiding and education roles with eNRG Kayaking and Rustic Pathways. Gabriel's educational background encompasses a human biology degree from the University of Southern Maine, critical care paramedic training, and a paramedic certificate, among other qualifications.
