Dan Kang

Dan Kang has over 11 years of experience in the IT industry. Dan started their career in 2008 as a Build Engineer at Northrop Grumman. Dan then moved on to Rivermine Software as a Linux System Administrator and Computer Technology Consultants as a Technical Lead. In 2009, they joined Accenture as a Technical Architect and Oracle as a Cloud Security Analyst. In 2012, they were hired by Keeper Technology as a System Engineer. In 2016, they joined SAP as a Senior Cloud Operations Security Engineer and Solers as a Senior Systems Engineer. In 2019, they were hired by Strategic Business Systems (SBS) as a Senior System Administrator and Northstrat Incorporated as a Senior Linux Systems Engineer. At Northstrat Incorporated, Dan developed AWS CloudFormation templates, created standard Amazon Machine Images, and wrote custom puppet modules. At Solers, they led a systems team and developed, tested, and deployed Puppet & Ansible modules for configuration management. At SAP, they mitigated security vulnerabilities by designing and deploying custom security reports using Splunk knowledge objects.

Dan Kang obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from George Mason University between 2003 and 2008. Dan then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Applied Information Technology from the same university between 2008 and 2010. Dan also holds certifications from CompTIA in A+, CompTIA Security+, and Network+.
