Alexa Chalmers

Alexa Chalmers serves as the LCSW Supervisor of Behavioral Health at Northwell Health since May 2024, focusing on clinical supervision and leadership. Prior experience includes serving as the Social Work Program Coordinator for the World Trade Center at The Mount Sinai Hospital from September 2015 to July 2023, where responsibilities encompassed project management and provider relations. Additional roles at The Mount Sinai Hospital included facilitating social work learners and providing psycho-social assessments as an Oncology Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Previous positions include clinical social work internships and educational roles, such as individual counseling for adults with chronic mental illness at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, teaching assistance at the New York City Housing Authority, and social work internships with Partnership with Children. Alexa Chalmers earned a Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from the University of Delaware.
