Kate Russell

Kate Russell, LCSW has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Kate currently serves as the Director of Operations at Northwest Gastroenterology Clinic, where they oversee the day-to-day operations of two medical clinics and an ambulatory surgery center. In this role, they collaborate with the Executive Director to achieve organizational goals related to finance, operations, and patient care. Kate has also held the position of Wellness and Performance Improvement Manager at the same clinic, where they developed and implemented an organizational wellness program and provided employee assistance services.

Prior to their work at Northwest Gastroenterology Clinic, Kate worked at Clackamas County Social Services as a Program Coordinator for the Family Caregiver Support Program. In this role, they coordinated a program that served unpaid family caregivers and older adult relative parents. Kate provided direct client services, facilitated support groups, and restructured program operations to comply with federal and state standards.

Kate also has experience as a Performance Improvement Manager at Northwest Gastroenterology Clinic, where they identified and implemented initiatives to improve patient care, compliance, and organizational processes, resulting in significant cost savings. Additionally, they served as an Infusion Coordinator, Scheduler, and Front Office staff member, where they coordinated benefits for patients and supported multiple departments within the medical office.

Early in their career, Kate worked as a Social Work Intern at Elders in Action and the Family Caregiver Support Program, where they provided information and referral services, conducted needs assessments, and assisted older adults and individuals with disabilities as a personal advocate.

Before entering the healthcare field, Kate gained leadership experience as an Area Sales Manager at Macy's and a Group Sales Manager at Meier & Frank, where they supervised staff and managed business operations in multiple departments.

Kate Russell, LCSW obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work from Portland State University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Portland State University from 2011 to 2013. In 2010 to 2011, they also earned an Associate of Arts from Portland Community College. Kate Russell, LCSW has no additional certifications.
