Fisheries and Habitat Specialists

The Fisheries and Habitat Specialists team at the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission collaborates to support the member tribes in managing and conserving fish populations and their habitats. This multidisciplinary team conducts genetic and biological assessments, develops and analyzes policies, ensures fish health, manages habitat restoration projects, and provides technical guidance for hatchery operations. Their collective efforts aim to sustain and enhance fishery resources while respecting tribal sovereignty and ecological balance.
