Adam Cook

Adam Cook is an experienced outdoor and customer service professional with a diverse background in instruction, recovery operations, and sports officiating. Currently serving as an Outward Bound instructor at Northwest Outward Bound School since September 2022, Adam has also held roles such as a Recovery Technician at Lions Vision Gift and a Customer Service Representative at The Circuit Bouldering Gym and SIG SAUER, Inc. Previous experience includes teaching outdoor skills with Trackers Earth, coaching recreational climbing at The Bay Club Company, and working as a Veterans Services Coordinator at Marylhurst University. Adam's education includes a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Oregon State University and Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS. Communication skills are enhanced by proficiency in de-escalation techniques, honed through various roles involving interaction with youth, customers, and community members.
