Ryan Fortna

Ryan Fortna has a strong background in the medical field, with experience in various leadership roles and academic training. Ryan is currently the President of Avero Diagnostics since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as President of Northwest Pathology starting in July 2010. From May 2016 to September 2017, they were President of AFFIRMATIV health. Early in their career, Ryan was an Anatomic Pathology Resident at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from July 2006 to June 2009. Ryan also had prior experience as a Med Student/Grad Student/Resident at the University of Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2009.

Ryan Fortna completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cell Biology/Biochemistry at Bucknell University from 1995 to 1999. Ryan continued their education at the University of Pennsylvania from 1999 to 2009, earning both an MD and a PhD. Their fields of study included Pathology, Dermatopathology, Medicine, Cell and Molecular Biology.
