NWSRA exists to provide outstanding opportunities through recreation for children and adults with disabilities.  NWSRA strives for each participant to function at his/her highest level of ability. Benefits of participation include increased socialization and community awareness, development of new leisure skills, increased physical and emotional well being, and increased self esteem, all in a fun, safe and structured recreation environment.

The Collaborative Services Team at NWSRA works to enhance the participation of children and adults with disabilities in recreational activities by coordinating efforts across 17 park districts. They collaborate closely with local communities, recreation professionals, and families to develop and execute inclusive programs that cater to the unique needs of participants, ensuring accessibility and fostering personal growth in a fun, supportive environment.
